About this page

This page explains how to delete a JobBase account and the data linked to it. It covers JobBase on the web and the JobBase phone app for iPhone and Android. You do not need to sign in to read it.

If you work for a company that uses JobBase

Your account belongs to your company's JobBase workspace. Ask your company's owner or an admin to remove you. They do this on the web in Settings → Users & permissions. That ends your access on the web and in the phone app.

If you cannot reach them, or you also want the account itself deleted, email support@jobbase.app from the email address you sign in with and tell us the name of your company. We confirm the request with you before we delete anything.

If you own the company workspace

Owners can delete the whole workspace on the web. Open Settings, go to the delete section at the bottom of the page, type DELETE, and choose Delete user and company.

This permanently deletes the company workspace, every user account linked to it, and the records in it: customers, jobs, time, stock, chat, photos, documents, and invoices. It cannot be undone, so save copies of anything you need to keep first, such as invoices and receipts for your bookkeeping.

You can also email support@jobbase.app from the owner's email address and ask us to delete the workspace for you.

What is deleted

When your account is deleted, we delete your sign-in details, your name and email, your profile and settings, your company memberships, the push notification token for your phone, and any positions you shared from the phone app.

When a company removes you but keeps its workspace, the work you did stays part of the company's records, for example jobs, time entries, notes, photos, and chat messages. The company decides how long it keeps them.

What may be kept

Your company is responsible for its own business records. Danish bookkeeping rules require companies to keep accounting records, such as invoices and receipts, for five years. A company may therefore keep invoices and related records that include your name after you leave.

Krata Systems may keep billing records for the company's subscription and limited security logs for as long as the law requires. Copies in backups are removed as those backups expire.

How long it takes

Deleting a workspace in Settings takes effect right away. Requests sent by email are handled within one month, and usually much sooner.

The phone app

Signing out of the phone app, or removing the app from your phone, deletes the data the app keeps on the phone. It does not delete your JobBase account. Use one of the options above for that.
